2023-11-15 2013-07-18Late on the evening of July 18th, Betty Lou Tinkey McDonald, daughter of the late Richard and Betty Tinkey, born in Morgantown in 1949, entered solemnly into God's hands. She is preceded in death by loving and cherished husband: Cyril McDonald; their infant son: Richard Francis; sister: Patricia Hutchison; mother-in-law: Violet McDonald; brother-in-laws: Roger Boulet, Francis E. McDonald, Ronald Thomas and Walter Adams; beloved family pet: Alf. She is survived by sons: Cyril "Spike" (Josmary) McDonald, II; daughter: Jennifer (Miguel) Turovsky; son: Chris McDonald. She leaves behind grandchildren: Mackenzie & Cayden; stepgrandchildren: Darius & Christian; father-in-law: Francis M. McDonald; brother-in-laws: Thomas Hutchison, Gregory McDonald; sister-in-laws: Cecilia Boulet, Madonna Adams, Maggy Thomas and Barb McDonald; nieces, nephews, beloved cousins, and family pet, Mitzie. Betty Lou was a loud, boisterous, jovial & caring woman. This was demonstrated by her involvement as neighborhood chairmen of McKeesport Girl Scouts in which she was involved with Camp Yough and Troops # 1322 and 222. A hands on mother, she taught Sunday School, organized holiday parties and was involved in many high school parent organizations. A unique and kind hearted women, her death leaves behind many whom lives she has touched and affected. The family invites you to attend a celebration of her life to be held from on Wednesday from 7 to 9 PM and Thursday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM at the Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home, Inc., 2703 O'Neil Blvd, McKeesport, PA 15132. Funeral Services will be held on Friday 11:00 AM in the First Evangelical Free Church, 4001 University Drive, McKeesport, PA 15132 with Pastor Kirk Albrecht presiding. Interment will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp., PA.
