PHILANN MCGINNIS Philann McGinnis, 61, of Las Vegas, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, Feb. 11, 2011. She was born March 4, 1949, in McKeesport, Pa. She retired in 2008 from the UMC Blood Bank, where she worked as a lead lab clerk for 29 years. Philann was a longtime fan of both the Pittsburg Steelers and the Pittsburg Penguins. She loved baking and cooking for her family and friends, lovingly dubbed "The Cookie Lady" during the Christmas holiday. She is survived by her love, of 28 years, Larry McFadden; daughter, Kelly McGinnis; son, Cory McGinnis; and two grandchildren, Madison and Alexyi McGinnis. Everyone who knew her will miss her immensely. Please join us for a memorial service beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1101 N. Pecos Road.
