
Peter F. Sparico
1948-03-24 2010-05-03Peter Francis Sparico Jr., 62, of Glassport, died Monday, May 3, 2010, at UPMC McKeesport. He was born March 24, 1948, in McKeesport. Peter lived for 16 years in Glassport and previously in McKeesport. He was a union laborer for Wyatt Construction Co. Inc. and he was also the owner and operator of Sparico's Market for 10 years in McKeesport. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War serving on the John F. Kennedy Aircraft Carrier. He was a member of Covenant Church in Wilkinsburg. He was also a bus and van driver for the church, an usher and stage design and Sunday School teacher for the church. He was a member of the Carpenters Union No. 142 and a volunteer for the food bank and lunch program for the children's summer program. He went home to be with the Lord. He will be sadly missed and remembered and will be always in our hearts. He was the son of the late Peter F. Sr. and Dorothy Dunlop Sparico. He was the husband of Ella Jean Musisko Sparico, of Glassport; father of Edwin C. (Laura) Musisko, of Elizabeth, and Peter F. Sparico III, of Brentwood; two brothers, John "Jack" (Linda) Sparico, of Hutchinson, and Joseph (Sarah) Sparico, of Elizabeth Township; a sister, Dorothy "Janie" Sparico, of New Brighton; two grandchildren, Owen and Addison; and many nieces and nephews. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the E.C. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME INC., 235 Monongahela Ave., Glassport. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the family.
